We are closing in on May 20!
We have started to receive donations, thank you to those who have already contributed.
The plans are to have that money help cover the cost of the moon bounce, and purchase meat items to grill for the crowd.
Any extra funds will be put towards side dishes and desserts.
We've had no luck finding an online form for tracking what dishes people are planning to bring (so that we know if we have enough or too much of some category, not enough of another) so can we please ask that you email Libby Horne (libbyhorne@gmail.com) and advise what you plan to bring and the number of attendees in your family? Feel free to bring more than one dish if the mood strikes you. We are excited to try everyone's favorites and specialties!
Remember that each family is responsible for bringing tables and chairs (if wanted) as well as all beverages. We are also looking for people to bring fun outdoor games (ie cornhole, horseshoes) that groups can enjoy.
Remember we are taking donations via Paypal to make things easy. You can find that link on the previous blog posting.
If you are interested in attending a planning meeting, we are having one tomorrow night, May 8, at 9 Arbor Drive. It begins at 6:30 PM. Feel free to come with your ideas. If you want to just come by and give your donation money in person to the committee, that is great as well.
Contact Libby Horne with any questions: libbyhorne@gmail.com.
See you May 20!

Block Party Update -- One Month To Go!
One month away!!!
Let's keep our fingers crossed that we get a sun-filled day for our block party, May 20.
We have secured a moon bounce, so there will be plenty to keep the kids occupied.
A reminder that this is a potluck and we are looking for everyone to pitch in side dishes, desserts, etc. Each family should bring whatever they would like to drink.
We will be collecting money to help pay for the moon bounce as well as purchase meat to grill (hamburgers, chicken and hot dogs).
We are asking for a $20 donation per family. A Paypal link is below, where money will be collected and held until items are purchased in May.
To join our listserv for this event, please email libbyhorne@gmail.com. We will be communicating via that listserv, as well as this web site.
Any questions? Contact Libby Horne, libbyhorne@gmail.com or Kellen Mwangi, kcm177@hotmail.com.
